Ola Athletic Association Mission Statement

Ola Athletic Association is an all-volunteer, non-profit, youth baseball league in the Ola Community located on the outskirts of McDonough, Ga. Our organization provides Recreation and Select baseball leagues under the guidance of the Henry County Parks and Recreation Division and sanctioned through Georgia USSSA Baseball. Our mission is to provide exceptional leadership and mentorship to our players through our Coaches, provide players with the skills and values needed to not only play baseball but those that will be needed in life as well, and to be a valuable, contributing member of our community.

The OAA strives to provide the best Coaches and best playing environment possible. We have a rigorous vetting process for all volunteer Coaches and provide mandatory training for each and every Coach in our organization. Our Coaches strive to instill in our players the following core values:

  1. Humility- remain humble in all situations
  2. Selflessness- be the best teammate possible; team before self
  3. Integrity- doing the right thing, even when no one is watching
  4. Respect- respect teammates, opponents, Coaches, Umpires and the GAME

The OAA provides a Recreation drafted baseball program that focuses on teaching the fundamentals and skills necessary to play baseball in a fun and exciting environment. We also provide a Select baseball program that is made up of pre-selected teams that are typically more skilled and more competitive than a recreational team.
